Top 5 reasons why we LOVE our wedding garden

We love our wedding garden, and we think it is pretty unique compared to other wedding venues’ outdoor spaces . It is surrounded by woodland overlooking our farm’s grazing fields, with a great view out to the Malvern Hills in the distance, and an epic sunset over the old Powick Mill if you are lucky. And our garden is full of quirky features, like our log wall, fairy lights, fire pit and of course our very unique yurt marquee. We are licensed for legal ceremonies in our garden as well as inside our yurt marquee and barn, so if you are wanting to get married outside, we can help you with that.

Here are our 5favourite things about our wedding garden:

Our swing

Our swing is probably the most popular thing in our wedding garden – everyone gets involved. One of our favourite images of our swing has got to be Emily’s gran having a go – I love this image so much! But we have seen so many wonderful photographs of guests having a great time on the swing together. And the swing was in situ when my husband and I got married, back in 2016, so it has special memories for us as one of the original garden quirks.

Games

We love that having your arrival drinks in our garden means guests are much more likely to mingle , but having our garden games set up means your guests interact with each other a lot more and the sense of “fun” they bring with them helps sets the tone for your day from the outset. When booking your wedding with us from spring to autumn you will benefit from complimentary use of our garden games package, which includes limbo, croquet, and a beer pong setup using our oak barrels. We will help get the party started as soon as your guests arrive!

 

Couple portraits

We have many unique and beautiful spots around our venue that will allow your photographer to get creative and capture some really beautiful images of you as a couple.  Whilst you can of course get some great images inside, if you are an outdoors kind of person, then surely you want some greenery and scenic views behind you in your photos? We are very fortunate to be in a perfect spot for golden hour light at the end of the day. When your photographer grabs you by the hand and yells at you that golden hour is here, do as they say and follow them outside – you won’t regret it!

Confetti

Can you even say you got married if you didn’t walk through a line up of your family and friends throwing confetti over you? We love a confetti shot – it’s a great way to get everyone involved in something fun and memorable for you as a couple. And the more colourful, the better! The rustic pergola in our garden is the perfect setting for your confetti shots

Fire pit

Our fire pit is always surrounded by guests once dusk falls – people are drawn to it with a beer in one hand and a marshmallow on a stick in the other – we provide complimentary marshmallows for toasting around the fire pit as part of our spring, summer and autumn wedding packages. After a busy day celebrating and partying, there is something really lovely about sitting around a fire with your best friends as the best day of your life draws to a close.
