Colourful Festival Wedding Shoot at Bennetts Willow Barn, Worcester
As a wedding venue, a styled shoot with some of your favourite suppliers is an exciting way to develop ideas and encourage new business from couples who will adore our unusual and quirky venue. In early June we hosted and co-ordinated a styled shoot with some old friends and also new people that we have come across and have been desperate to work with. The brief was “a bright and colourful festival wedding” and this talented group of suppliers exceeded our hopes of what could be achieved – thank you again to all of them for being involved and doing such a fantastic job!
The Party Perfectionist led on the styling and Lilia Rose Floral Design met the plan beautifully, and between these two wonderful ladies we had a fun, bright and colourful theme run through the setup. Sunflowers and pink dahlias have got to be a winner in a summer festival wedding theme, and the glitter balls on the banquet tables were a perfect, fun finishing touch. The gorgeous relaxed Boho feel dress from Gatehouse Brides was stunning, and the dapper suit from Carter Esquire was a perfect partner. Colourful accessories from Lilly Dillys boutique fantastically highlighted the dress and suit, including a yellow and floral bow tie, yellow fedora hat and flower collar for Buddy the dog. A flower crown by Lilia Rose Floral Design completed the look beautifully, along with the stunning bouquet.
We incorporated some of our unique offerings as a venue into this shoot – next door’s dog friendly glamping site, Worcester Glamping, featured with its yurts. These are a great addition to a festival wedding as it means many of your guests can stay on site, making a real weekend of your celebration. Our bride and groom also enjoyed Bennetts Ice Cream, a deliciously creamy ice cream made right here on our farm using milk from our herd of pedigree Holsteins. Our new ice cream trike is arriving very soon, and we can’t wait to serve ice cream from it at future events.
